| "I like to think of microgrants as bicycles of upward mobility, they might not be as fast or fancy as
a car, but they still help projects gain momentum in development."

Is entrepreneurship really the solution?
In
this TED Talk from 2013, author and Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter argues that we should let businesses try to solve massive problems like climate change and access to water.Â
Â
Why? Businesses have access to regular profits, which they can put towards solving problems at a much larger scale and in a more sustainable way.
Â
Today, the perspective is shifting. Large corporations showing off their efforts to solve global issues often reads as "greenwashing" or just using these social issues for a better marketing strategy.
Â
But there is a middle ground. Smaller, mission-driven entrepreneurs creating businesses with a purpose are contributing to solutions all the time, and all
around the world. They blend their for-profit goals with generating a positive impact on society and the planet.
Â
That's exactly who we support at Stardust Startups. ✨

Now is when the real work begins! The goal of the Givenar was to bring in impact investors to support these projects that are making a difference. To make a contribution, visit our 2021 Givenar Campaign. Our goal is to fully found our current project portfolio by June 5th, 2021. Thank you
