Introducing... our brand new White Paper!
Democratized Impact: How Microgrants and Microinvestments Empower Small Solutions for Massive Challenges 💸
Our paper begins with a literature review to explore microgrants’ emergence, microfinancing, and Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs).
The focus then shifts to examine the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which serve as the glue connecting impact entrepreneurs and their companies with impact investors.
The paper concludes with an empirical study conducted by Stardust Startups on the effectiveness of microgrants received between 2016 and 2020. The findings reveal some anticipated and some surprising results!

Meet our newest impact investor

| Trisha Anderson-Lundberg, a Stardust supporter from Virginia, recently gifted us with $2k, enough to pay for a whole microgrant. Here's why she did it:
For me, giving to Stardust allows me to support Jean and Camille in honoring Angus who had his sights on seeing a better and bigger world.
Stardust not only has helped individuals with turning their own ideas into tangible, sustainable, products or services to help others, but it has allowed for Jean and Camille to turn grief into a "purpose".
Stardust is so special because they focus on helping others create and build ideas that have a true purpose behind it.
Seeing Stardust Startups come alive and thrive the last 5 years

has been remarkable! I have enjoyed seeing the results of how the microgrants have been used and what the entrepreneurs have done to get their ideas up and running.
You, too, can become an impact investor! Microinvesting is a small, agile step that, when used to support recoverable microgrants and make them more accessible,
helps entrepreneurs launch innovative solutions that make positive social and environmental impact.

What's going on @ Stardust...
> Erratum: In our last newsletter, we featured Kirk Talbott, a long-time Stardust supporter. We would like to clarify that the generosity and financial support comes from the Nelson Talbott Foundation.
> We are thrilled that Saffanah Zaini is joining the Stardust team this spring as a writer. ✨ Saffanah
(pictured 1st) is an M.A. student in International Security at George Mason University (GMU). She is a Saudi national, and her aspiration for a more environmentally sustainable future in her region brought her to Stardust.
> We welcome Fran Pigott-Harding (pictured 2nd) to our Board of Directors. Fran is skilled in Marketing Communication and Public Relations and is helping us grow our endowment!
> Sashka Avanyan, founder of Creopia Productions and microgrant recipient (pictured 3rd), completed the Yunus & Youth Fellowship last year. "Exposure to other social entrepreneurs around the world with their own innovative ideas continues to prove invaluable as we continue to expand Creopia Productions in Vanadzor, Armenia." Congratulations! 🎉
