We are officially accepting applications for the Spring 2022 funding cycle 🎉

This spring, Stardust Startups is
awarding $4,000 USD in microgrants to 2 innovative impact entrepreneurs making positive impact in the areas of either water or climate change (or both).
• Why have a specific call for proposals?
Stardust Startups is a Donor-Advised organization. Though the majority of our donors instruct us to use their contributions as "unrestricted" funds, some request specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be the focus of their gifts.
Based on advice from donors, this funding cycle's microgrant awards will go to early-stage impact startups focused on "Clean Water and Sanitation" (SDG #6) and/or "Climate Action" (SDG #13).
To date, we have not funded projects that directly address water issues and are excited to expand into this new area!
• Why are these 2 focus areas so important?
Water quantity, water quality, and climate change intersect in interesting ways. Water is used not only for human consumption; it is critically tied to ecosystem health as well as economic well-being.

Facing challenges like:
- the availability and accessibility of clean surface water and groundwater,
- floods,
- droughts,
- sea level rise,
- extreme weather events and
- rising temperatures,
we need out-of-the-box thinking and the agility and flexibility of emerging impact entrepreneurs!

• , do you have a project in one or both of these areas?
We can help you sidestep bureaucracy and conventional approaches. People like you, on the front lines of innovation and action, can and should be supported by a microgrant!
